ASHVEGAS sat down with local Asheville comic, Hilliary S. Begley who landed a dream role in the new hit NETFLIX film, "Dumplin." Writer, Jason Sandford, got insight on her life as a stand up comic, and actress. She struggled in the beginning of her career saying, "I’ve lived in my car. More than once, someone has put me up just to make sure I made it through. If it weren’t for my friends, I don’t know where I’d be.”
The casting director of"Dumplin" caught one of Hilliary's shows at The Orange Peel, which led to a call-back audition in Atlanta. You can now watch Hilliary play the role of "Lucy", who is the main character's aunt and role model in "Dumplin."
